Easley Scoutmaster Update
Best campout he’s been on. Boys liked the activity freedom. PLC, freedom, trail. PLC did not like the location of the campfire because of the seating problems. We will schedule the campout next year based on the PLC feedback. Need water on the trail at least at the end of the trail. Greg Williams has been nominated to clean the fish at the upcoming campout. Theme for next campout will be southern cooking. Discipline will be controlled more by the SPL at the troop meetings. May use the Gym for games at some of the upcoming troop meetings and do some casting practice outside to prepare for the fishing trip. Recognized two scouts, Kevin Morrison and Kyle Spies for helping with the Mustangs at the bike hike campout.

Bryce Wells Black Beard and Boundary Waters Update
Black Beard - Need to collect the deposits. Twenty are signed up and we have room for two more. Boundary Waters - Two crews are reserved and we have one full crew. We are having issues with the parent to scout ratio. We will recruit from other troops to fill the second slot. Troop 10 receives credit for non Troop 10 participants. If we can’t fill the additional numbers we will eliminate one slot. June 26 and July 3 are the scheduled dates. Bryce recommended a high adventure campout in the fall 2005 to prepare for Philmont.
Marc Elkins Philmont 2006
We are slotted for one crew at Philmont in 2007. Venture crew 2010 was rechartered with nine scouts and six adults. Troop 10 is floating $4,000 for the trip. We are contacting all that registered to collect payment and reduce the float. Stew and Greg will hold additional campouts on Bryce’s recommendation to prepare for Philmont, Black Beard and Boundary Waters in the Fall and Spring.
