Meeting for 4/8 scout skills focused on first aid.
Meeting 4/22 and 5/6 in meeting merit badge forum
Suggested for PLC to make a list of adults they would like help from (MB counselors)
Also an adult to help coordinate this effort.
Still struggling with meal cooking Garret has asked Doug to work on ideas here.

May need to coordinate attendance / call list to make ceremony smoother.
Good cleanup effort.
Thank you cards to be signed 4/8 by scouts and sent to owners/caretaker.
Perhaps we could do a conservation project every 6 months to build relationship.

Signup needs to be completed at 4/8 meeting (4/16 deadline)
May 17-19 Canoe Campout
Need to coordinate the take-out to ensure that no scouts go past the end point.
Suggested to run the canoe how-to video (planned for May 13)
June 1-2 Mustang Scout Skill Campout
Not trying to get every single requirement completed on this one campout.
Need to anticipate having a high number of non-Mustang scouts at this campout.

Ted will meet with PLC on 4/8 (expectations, planning, etc.)
4/1 meeting good signup night; very smooth;
25% were not computer-completed
Health forms many still not completed (including A&B)
another email reminder will go out
132 boys (125 paid in full) submitted forms
40 full time adults + 43 part-time adults
Bartle improvements continue should be workable.
Some modifications will be needed and will be helpful.

Introduced 8 new tents to the Mustangs.
Oriented on how to put them up and take care of them.
No new tents currently available.
Additional tents and lanterns on order.
Locker cleanout June 8th: need as many adults as we can get at the cleanout.
4 stoves didnt work this a.m.

Many new membership forms last week.
Craig and Garret in discussion on a Fall Webelos night in September.
Craig is working on getting a complete contact list for cub scout/Webelo outreach.
Fall Mustang campout would/could be a good outreach tool for the Troop.

Suggested to extend the deadline to 4/22 (since no meeting 4/15).
Vote to keep the current deadline (carried 16 to 10, w/2 abstentions).

Scouts seeking rank advancement without scout spirit card.
Ernie and Garrett to get together on this.

Tim is preparing an agenda for the period from now to end of year.
Will help Mustang families prepare for upcoming meetings and campouts.

Campouts: instruction on skills only. Testing is separate need adult help with this.

How do we get the PLC to be open to new options?
Adult input into possible sites.
discussion about whether adults should recommend/push for the Scouts to try new
venues or if in a Scout run Troop that the Scouts should make their own decisions and be
supported by the leadership. Fundamental issue was unresolved and needs to be addressed at
future committee meetings.
Scout sponsorship program discussed for new applicant.
Approved by vote by the committee (unanimously) for one year.
Will review at end of one year before it is extended into a second year.
