Steve Ornduff – discussed the experience of our troop’s crews at Double-H Camp – it was very positive for our 8 adults and 10 scouts

Bill Haner – Quetico trip was also great

Bill Haner – Scoutmaster update – the new SPL was selected at summer camp – they are discussing who his ASPL’s will be – 3 of 4 have already agreed to serve – he felt the scouts who stood in as leaders at camp did a commendable job – he will continue this during the year

Bill Haner – 8/23 meeting was cancelled

Rick Isham – outdoor activities – trying to put the scout’s issues into reality – a group of older scouts discussed this at camp

Bill Haner – camporee – will have a Lewis and Clark theme

There was discussion but no objections to the plan for the year.  Rick Isham will work on the specifics

Paul Bertrand – Shooter Safety Campout – only 2 meetings prior to the campout – discussed options for targets since the scouts requested some different types – there will be prone and sitting stations – would like committee to help with various aspects including new prizes – will put out an email asking for assistance and specific types of firearms – will need someone to lead the archery – on 9/13 we will have a speaker to address safety rules – will try to offer opportunity for scouts to complete Archery Merit Badge for those who did not finish it at Bartle – he will buy some ear protection for the Troop so we don’t have to borrow them in the future

Bill Haner – 2004-2005 High Adventure – discussed a variety of options – Jamboree, Bartle and two others will be available for next summer – we will explore Blackbeards, Gila, Packard, Double-H and any other suggestions

Bill Haner – Jamboree – there will be a Council contingent – not many have expressed an interest yet – it will be at Fort A P Hill in Virginia with a side trip to Washington D C for a total of 10 to 14 days

Terry Ellis – Bryce Wells will also be looking into a canoe trip down the Buffalo River that will be in addition to that month’s campout

Terry Ellis– Treasurer’s Report – good cash balance - $5000 still owed from scouts – better than last year

Alan Myers – Fundraising – Grocery store promotion – Hen House and Price Chopper – everyone needs to reenroll and mark Troop 10 as where they want their 1% to go – he will announce this and make forms available at the picnic and Court of Honor

Alan Myers – greenery sales – similar to last year – packets will be handed out in early October – each scout must sell $80 to bring in $40 for the troop or must do a $40 buyout – above $80 in sales will give scouts a credit toward camping expenses

Herb Strain – Bartle Treasurer Report – we are doing well and paying off all bills – in October we will be participating in the Bartle lottery for next summer
