BLACKBEARD’S HIGH ADVENTURE

SUMMER 2013

If there is enough interest expressed, we can arrange an adventure to the Bahamas with Black Beard's High Adventure Cruises. This adventure would involve adults & scouts (along with a professional crew) sailing a boat in the waters of the Bahamas, pausing occasionally to snorkel, fish, scuba dive, explore ashore and the like. Please click on this link for more specific information: http://www.blackbeard-cruises.com/scouts/ The cost of the suggested adventure is approximately $900 per person with additional costs of transportation (air fare), scuba lessons and equipment rental.

With 18 participants, the outing would be a Troop 10 scouts & adults only boat.

In the past, we have teamed up with the owners of Midwest Aquatics to assist in getting everyone pool certified in SCUBA and ready for their “Open Water Certification” while on the trip. Becoming certified is not a requirement to participate in this adventure.

Here is where we need your input/feedback. Please respond to one or both of the following:

• If you are interested in a Black Beard's High Adventure Cruise, please indicate so by sending me an email by the end of March 2012. HighAdventure@bsatroop10.org Full blown commitments and deposits will not be required until the 2012 fall school season. If you are not interested, no response is required. (Age requirements for this trip are: Scouts must be 13 years old at the time of the trip or 12 years old and have completed 7^th grade)

• If you have a different high adventure idea in mind for 2013, please feel free to contact me directly and share it. Please note, that like the Philmont 2013 trip, some High Adventure trips might require Scouts to 14 years old at the time of the trip or 13 years old and have completed 8^th grade) The best communication modalities are this email box or my cell phone (number listed below).
