Trailhead District Camporee

Webelos Hosted by Troop 10

 

WHERE:                   Lewis-Young Park, Louisburg, Kansas

 

WHEN:             Saturday, October 16th thru Sunday, October 17th 

 

MEETING TIME / PLACE:    Arrive at Lewis-Young Park by 8:00 AM on Saturday to set up camp.  Your program activities start at 9:00 AM.  If you plan to come and camp on Friday night, please contact Herb Strain, hastrain@aol.com

 

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:               

You will need tent, ground cloth (tarp), weather appropriate clothing, extra dry clothing to change into at night, weather appropriate sleeping bag, ground mat, eating mess kit (bowl, plate, knife, fork, spoon), cup or water bottle, flashlight, sun screen, insect repellant, tooth brush & paste and rain gear.  We DO NOT provide tents or tarps for Webelos or adults.  Adults are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.  Troop 10 has shelters, propane lanterns, water containers, extensive first aid supplies and cleaning supplies.

 

UNIFORM:      Class “A” Uniform during the day on Saturday & Sunday.

 

COOKING AND MEALS:     Webelos, their Leaders & Parents will eat all meals with Troop 10.  Bring snacks if you want.  We will provide lemonade, water & tea.

 

COST:              Dens & Packs need to register themselves with the District

                                    $8.00 per person ($11.00 after September 30th)

                                    No additional fee to Troop 10

                                   

COMMITMENT DATE:          We ask for a firm head count (scouts & adults by Monday October 11, 2004.

BEARS & WOLVES:            There is a separate day program for Bears & Wolves.  Pack & Den Leaders can register these Scouts.

Driving Instructions:

Beginning from 135th St and US-69, take US-69 (South) for 14.1 mi

Bear RIGHT (South) onto Ramp (247th Street) for 0.2 mi

Turn LEFT (East) onto 247th for 0.5 mi (over US-69 bridge)

Turn RIGHT (South) onto S HWY-169 [Metcalf] for 2.0 mi

Turn RIGHT (West) onto W 263rd Street for 1.0 mi

Turn LEFT (South) onto Jingo Rd for 0.2 mi

Park & Camporee entrance is on your right (West) – Follow Signs
