Location: C= liff Illig’s Farm, southeast of LaCygne, Kansas

Activities & Sc= hedule: There will be several different activities this weekend. Some designed for our Mustang Patr= ol Scouts (Scouts that have just joined Troop 10). Other activities designed for the = rest of the Troop 10 Scouts. We sh= ould be returning Sunday at about 9:00am after breakfast and a Chapel Service. If you plan to arrive late, leave early or leave during the campout, you MUST contact our Scoutmaster, Greg Spies, before the campout or you may not get credit for the campout. <= /span>scoutmaster@bsatroop10.org

Mustang Patrol Scouts: (Saturday & Sunday)

All Other Troop 10 Scouts: (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)

·      =    OA Members, Practice Ceremony & Construct Campfires

·      =    ALL OA Members; Perform Tapout Ceremony

Food/Cooking Format:=

Friday Supper: Eat before you arrive.<= /span>

Saturday Breakfast:

Patrols plan and prepare a Hot Breakfast

Mustang Scouts & Parents eat before you meet at PSMS

Adults & SPL Staff will cook & eat as the “= ;Old Goat” Patrol.

Saturday Lunch – Every= one bring a Sack Lunch.

Saturday Supper:

Patrols plan and prepare a Hot Supper (Patrols need to bring charcoal)

Mustang Scouts will prepare a Hot Supper – the food will be provided

Adults & SPL Staff will cook & eat as the “Old Goat” Patrol.

Sunday Breakfast:

Troop Policy: NO Lighter Fluid, “Match-light”, or accelerant to be us= ed.

Charcoal chimneys are provided by the Troop

Equipment Needed: (There is no specific Uniform of the day – Field Uniform (C= lass “A”) at the campfire)

Mustang Patrol Scouts: (consult your Scout Handbook for a comp= lete list)

Ø      =             Cold/Cool weather clothing, extra dry clothing to change into at night

Ø      =             (socks, sweats, t-shirts, stocking hat, gloves, etc.)

Ø      =             Sturdy Boots or shoes & extra pair shoes.

Ø      =             Sleeping Bag – cold weather, Ground Mat

Ø      =             Mess Kit (bowl, plate, insulated cup, knife, fork, spoon)

(These are not provided by the Troop)

Ø      =             Rain Gear

Ø      =             Canteen or water bottle

Ø      =             Compass

Ø      =             Fishing Gear

Ø      =             Tents & ground cloth if you took one home last month

(The Troop does not provide tents for Adults)<= o:p>

Patrols need to work together to make sure that patrol tents and cooking boxes are = brought to camp by assigned patrol members. If you have Patrol Equipment (tents, tarps, stoves, cooking equipment), make s= ure it makes it to this campout even if you aren’t attending.<= span style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Arial;mso-f= areast-font-family: "Times New Roman";color:black;mso-bidi-font-weight:bold'> Call your patrol leader, if he doesn’t call you by Wednesday, April 9^=
th.   Patrol Quartermast= ers must speak to the Troop Quartermaster, Chuck Gi= bson, quartermaster@b= satroop10.org (913) 681-8881= ; if ANY additional equipment is needed (i.e. cooking grates, bricks, t= ent poles, tent pegs, tarps, tents). Paper goods & cups will not be provided.

*NOTE TO NEW SCOUTS (MUSTANG PATROL)

The Troop has a large stock of equipment we use on our campouts and other outings. We provide: tents, g= round cloths (tarps), cooking equipment, water coolers, propane lanterns, tables, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, first aid supplies & shelters. We DO= NOT provide tents or tarps for adults. We also DO NOT provide: cups, p= lates, bowls, knives, forks or spoons. Troop 10 has a policy about chairs: Only Adults & Eagle Scouts can use lawn chairs (with backs) on campouts. Other scouts can use tripod-type c= amp stools. Adults are encouraged= to bring a lawn chair.

On this Campout, our new Scouts (Mustang Patrol) will be cooki= ng their own Supper. Troop 10 wi= ll purchase the necessary food and provide the needed cooking equipment. Plenty of older Scout & Adult supervision will be provided.

Cost:        &= nbsp;           &nbs= p;   $15.00 Mustang Patrol Scouts and All Adults=

   = ;         Coordinating Patrol:   The coordinating patrol will be the RAM Patrol. The RAM Patrol Scouts and ALL quartermasters are responsible to load the truck on Thursday, April 16^th at 6:00pm and unload the troop truck on Sunday mornin= g.

            = Directions:    =     From PSMS take Mission Road nor= th to 135^th Street= . 135^th Street west to 69 = Hwy. South. Drive south on US 69 about 42 miles to State Highway 52; (52 is abou= t 5 miles south of 152 which is the exit for LaCygne) Turn left on Hwy. 52 and drive east towards Butler about 3.4 miles; just after the “Leaving Kansas” sign turn right onto gravel road (Stateline Road) and drive south about 2.1 miles; turn left onto gravel road (if you get to the Marias de Cygne river,= you went too far); drive about 0.3 miles east and look for gate on the right (s= outh) side of the road, just past the Illig’s lakes; turn right into gate -= you are there!
