Ellis - felt the last campout went well and thanked Rick Isham, Herb Strain and
Rick Korvick - recognized Mark Morrison and Mike McMullen for taking leftover
food to the needy - thanked Greg Williams for using his truck as our troop
truck for the campout - thanked Greg Spies for getting a new truck for the
troop
Bill Haner
- felt the organization and activities for the last campout went well - 25
scouts attended the December campout - it went well and was a good time for all
- thanked Joe Vogliardo and Larry Lehman for the recent Eagle Court of Honor -
next scout meeting - instructors will do presentations - probably a lot of
Boards of Review that night - feels it has been an honor and privilege to be
scoutmaster and to work with all of the boys
Ken
Roberson - will welcome the new eagles and a parent to attend the next Leawood
Rotary Club breakfast at 7:30 AM for the Next two meetings - Class A

Reynolds - Court of Honor in 2 weeks - scouts must have scout spirit card prior
to having scoutmaster conferences

Ellis - 4-5 Eagle candidates for April court

D’Adamo - Treasurer Report - liabilities for greenery and new truck - nothing
from grocery stores because we have not had enough people sign up - an
announcement about this will be made at next meeting or Court of Honor

Ellis - Bill Haner is stepping down as scoutmaster to become outdoor
coordinator
Bill Haner
- January campout - Snow Creek 1/21 - midnight skiing
Rick Isham
- discussed possible “wilderness” campout in the spring

- Roundtable - discussed wilderness areas near Clinton that others have used
- we will do
training for this at some of the scout meetings
Brent
Reynolds - suggested we use this for one of the camping merit badge
requirements
Bill Haner
- realizes some may not have necessary equipment at this time - hopes to have a
campout that will tie in some historical spot - April campout – Tapout - May
campout - canoe trip - may do Buffalo or Current - from 5/13 thru 5/15 - Rendezvous
- this is what District is doing for Klondike this year - near Newton, Ks - the
week prior to our Jan campout

Ellis - no new info about Bartle - Greg Williams will be summer Campmaster and
will pull his team together - High Adventure - Boundary Waters Trip from 6/26
to 7/3 - Blackbeards Cruise from 6/4 to 6/10 - close to full but some people
have not paid a deposit
Greg Spies
- Equipment - we have very few lightweight stoves or other equipment for
backpacking - truck is in process - 2 weeks until completion - we will need to
put shelves and insignia on it

Roberson - Leawood Rotary - offered $500 toward the truck and a possible fundraiser

Ellis - we have to decide what to do with our old truck - there was some
discussion about possibilities
Greg Spies
- membership - small attendance at Webelos night 2 weeks ago - we will have
another one on 1/10 - Terry Ellis and 2 Scouts will do a demonstration at
Overland Trail Elementary
Rob
Wheeler - Tapout Team and Crossover Team have been set - 5 scouts tried out for
each and did well - there will be practices
OA
elections - 4/11 is preferred date - not confirmed yet
OA Spring
Induction Weekend 4/29 at Bartle - 5/20 is 2nd induction weekend -
new buildings at Naish will be completed by then
Had
meeting with person at Naish to pick a Troop 10 specific project there
Winter
Banquet - 1/8 - Blue Springs - dinner and recognition and activities to learn
about the Lodge - wants to elevate the interest in camp staff applications -
feels it would be a great experience for scouts - there is a Counselor-in-training
sessions to attend
Greg Spies
- Mic-O-Say - some scouts need to make rank prior to camp if they want to get
advancement

Ellis - Leadership Training coming up - Roundtable - open to everyone -
encourages all to attend

Elkins - District Awards Dinner 1/29 at 6 PM at Chris Church at 91st
and Nall - $20 - some people in our own troop have been nominated and may win
awards

Ellis - some committee positions need to be filled - discussed specific needs
Chris
D’Adamo - there is consideration of whether to put scout’s balances on the
website - it was decided not to, but emails may be sent to those with a balance

Ellis - thanked Stu Sharp for again letting us use his barn for greenery pickup
Chuck
Gibson - suggested we consider moving storage lockers to new ones that have been
built Greg Spies - suggested February backpacking trip be limited to make sure
it is a favorable experience

Reynolds - give any announcements for the Court of Honor to him or Bill Haner
Bill Haner
- said Herb Strain gave his regards and is doing well in St. Louis
Terry
Ellis - some scouts (5-6) are leaving the troop as they get older
