Badge Forum February 23rd and March 30th
Training
day also for adult leaders on February 23rd for $3.00. On March 30th will be the
Health & Safety Training class that would be helpful for leaders to
attend.
Outdoor
Leadership Training scheduled for April 6th through April 7th. It will also be offered by Northern Tier on
April 12th and April 13th.
March
campout will be first camping experience for new scouts.
Would like
people to tell Marc Elkins if there are backpacks that he can borrow for scouts
for March campout.
Was told we need to make a reservation now if we are going to have a Scuba High
Adventure
in Summer 2003. The boat will sleep
twenty-two passengers and four crew members.
Greg Spies will coordinate. A
$300.00 deposit is needed Cost is $756.00 for eight days and nights including
food and diving. People should be
certified prior to going.

Isham Camping for February went well.
Terry Ellis March campout
will set up a camp on Friday night on Saturday, some
scouts will backpack to
site for Saturday night. It will be
decided how long, and what will be carried.
Will meet with Greg Spies and Jim Wasko to discuss campout issues.

Strain Merit Badge Forum February 2nd was cancelled from ice
storm. February
23rd
and March 30th are new dates People can sign up until February 15th.
Greg Kent Four scouts are
in danger of not getting eagle because of age and lack of
filling requirements.
Had targeted
five scouts in December who he spoke to regarding lack of progress toward
Eagle.
Told them
he would assign a mentor for them to help them deal with issues that are
interfering with progress. Mike
Beasley, Cary Dikeman, Bill Brady, and Mike Coffey were requested as mentors.
Four scouts will be going to an Eagle Board of Review.
Two others will be turning in their project soon.
Other scouts have participation issues that might interfere with moving
toward
Eagle.
Needs
leaders to help at the Boards of Review on February 21st from 7:00
9:00 p.m.. Please call him if you can
help.

Greg Spies Asking that
people look at home for tarps and tents.
We are missing
twenty-four tarps. We need to purchase ten tents, shovels,
propane trees, ten tables. This comes to about $3,400.00
Herb Strain Suggested we
determine what to charge for annual registration for when we
recharter in March
2002. It was decided that dues will be
$100.00.
Larry Stocker Blue
Hills has asked whether we want to continue to meet here especially
since we arent spending
much money on food and drink. We will
meet here through June then determine another spot.
Stu Sharp Asked about
certifications for First Aid and CPR especially for summer High
Adventures. We dont have anything set up for this yet.
Larry Lehman March 11th Jr. Leader Training
Larry
Stocker Had request for help for Habitat for Humanity House on April 19th
and April
20th. This will be
offered to scouts.
Herb
Strain Discussed issues related to scouts who might not qualify for Mic-O-Say
because of participation and rank advancement.
Will determine a date for leaders to discuss Mic-O-Say.
Steve Ornduff Will
reconcile Leadership Advancement requests with scouts who need
this for advancement.
Greg Spies
Needs specific dates for when leaders will be going to Bartle.
