May Fishing Campout
Location: PinAkers
Lake, Johnson County, Missouri.
South of Warrensburg. Directions Below.
DEPARTURE & RETURN:
(Scouts
are responsible to arrange their own rides prior to May 17)
Meet
at Prairie Star Middle School at 7:00am, Saturday, May 17.
Depart
PSMS at 7:30am SHARP.
Return about 10:30am on Sunday, May 18.
If you plan to arrive
later or leave early, you MUST contact our Scoutmaster, Bill Haner, before the
campout or you may not get
credit for the campout.

Fishing Derby!
There will be prizes given in multiple categories.

Fishing Merit Badge (optional).

This will be the first campout for the Mustangs
(1st year scouts) to function in their new patrols.

Patrol cooking competition - Saturday Supper.

SCOUT HANDBOOK (pen)
Call your patrol leader, if he doesn’t call you by Wednesday, May 14th
for specific responsibilities. If you have Patrol Equipment (tents, tarps,
stoves, cooking equipment), make sure it makes it to this campout even if you aren’t
attending.
Patrol Quartermasters must speak to the Troop Quartermaster, Greg Spies; quartermaster@bsatroop10.org 913-338-4354;
if ANY
additional equipment is needed (i.e. cooking grates, bricks, tent poles, tent
pegs, tarps, tents)

Truck
Load: Raccoon
Patrol is the coordinating patrol. Raccoon Patrol Scouts
and ALL quartermasters are responsible to load the truck on Friday, May 16th
at 6:00pm and unload the troop truck on Sunday morning. (133rd &
Holmes)
Directions: Mission
Road to 135th Street. Right
on 135th Street to Stateline.
Left on Stateline. Stateline to
Interstate 435. I-435 east. Take I-470 east at the Grandview Triangle. Exit Highway 50 east to Lee’s Summit and
continue to Warrensburg. Exit south on
Highway 13 through Warrensburg. Travel
about 5 miles thru Warrensburg until you pass the Harvest Fellowship Church on
your right. Turn left on Highway
Y. Travel 6 miles on Highway Y. Turn right onto 601SE (a gravel road). 601 turns into 525 and turns left. Go about a mile until you reach 651. Turn right onto 651 and go 1.5 miles. You will pass the staggered 650/651
intersection. Look for the lake and the
“PinAkers” sign beside a gate on the right.
Turn into “PinAkers”.
