Marc Elkins – About 30 Webelos are planning to attend our meeting on 1/14.

Has a PowerPoint CD presentation for visits to cub meetings.

Winter Camping Activity – 1/18 to 1/20 at Lewis and Clark Park.

Tours of Iatan Power Plant with possible electricity merit badge offering.  There will be skiing and snowboarding.  Two nights. This is a District event and Webelos have been invited.

District to provide Sat. breakfast and dinner.  We are on our own for Sat. lunch and Sun. breakfast.  Webelos may participate for the day or overnight.  We will do camping by patrols.  Rick Isham will help out with planning in Rusty’s absence.  A leader is needed to be a merit badge counselor for badges that are being offered.  Patrols will have to provide dessert to be made for Sat night.  The charge will be $12 per scout or leader plus the cost of snowboarding or skiing and patrol food costs.  Each patrol will provide and cook their own breakfasts and dads will eat with the patrols.  Herb will let us know which patrol will load the truck.

Feb outing – open for suggestions – Camp Naish will be considered.

Other campout dates:

March 8-10

April 5-7  -  Bartle / OA Tapout

April 27-28  -  Train

No May campout

Recruiting  - Gary Bernhardt to check with packs about Blue and Gold banquets, how many Webelos to expect at 1/14 meeting and how many will cross over.  Herb suggested we emphasize how much fun our troop has and the variety of activities we do.  Marc has planned info and program for 1/14 for Webelos and parents

Advancement – Herb Strain felt that on-line registration did not go smoothly.

Herb Strain – 24 of our scouts have registered for upcoming Merit Badge Forum.  Over 300 are registered from the district.

Herb Strain  - has 63 people listed as being in OA and still needs to hear from quite a few who have not yet indicated whether they want to reregister.

Herb Strain – We had 16 scouts and leaders at the OA Banquet.

Herb Strain – Noted that there has been a change in 1st class requirements and those for the swimming merit badge.

3/25 – OA elections

3/10  5 PM – Current adult Arrowmen will meet to discuss OA nominations

Bill Haner – to ease his way into becoming Advancement Chairman

Bill Brady – Would like people to find out how much they owe and pay up.  Noted there were a lot of buyouts for greenery sales and that we should consider a different fundraiser.

Our hopes and wishes go out to Rusty Howell who is recovering from surgery.

March – troop registration month – we would like to have bills cleaned up for this so invoices will be sent out to those who have an outstanding balance.  There was discussion of what things the registration fees pay for and how the registration process will go.
