About 30 Webelos are planning to attend our meeting on 1/14.
Has a PowerPoint CD presentation for visits to cub meetings.
Winter
Camping Activity 1/18 to 1/20 at Lewis and Clark Park.
Tours of
Iatan Power Plant with possible electricity merit badge offering. There will be skiing and snowboarding. Two nights. This is a District event and
Webelos have been invited.
District to provide Sat. breakfast and
dinner. We are on our own for Sat.
lunch and Sun. breakfast. Webelos may
participate for the day or overnight.
We will do camping by patrols.
Rick Isham will help out with planning in Rustys absence. A leader is needed to be a merit badge
counselor for badges that are being offered.
Patrols will have to provide dessert to be made for Sat night. The charge will be $12 per scout or leader
plus the cost of snowboarding or skiing and patrol food costs. Each patrol will provide and cook their own
breakfasts and dads will eat with the patrols.
Herb will let us know which patrol will load the truck.
Feb outing

Recruiting - Gary Bernhardt to check with packs about
Blue and Gold banquets, how many Webelos to expect at 1/14 meeting and how many
will cross over. Herb suggested we
emphasize how much fun our troop has and the variety of activities we do. Marc has planned info and program for 1/14
for Webelos and parents
Advancement
Herb Strain felt that on-line registration did not go smoothly.

Strain 24 of our scouts have registered for upcoming Merit Badge Forum. Over 300 are registered from the district.

Strain - has 63 people listed as being
in OA and still needs to hear from quite a few who have not yet indicated
whether they want to reregister.

Strain We had 16 scouts and leaders at the OA Banquet.

Strain Noted that there has been a change in 1st class
requirements and those for the swimming merit badge.

Would like people to find out how much they owe and pay up. Noted there were a lot of buyouts for
greenery sales and that we should consider a different fundraiser.
Our hopes
and wishes go out to Rusty Howell who is recovering from surgery.
March
troop registration month we would like to have bills cleaned up for this so
invoices will be sent out to those who have an outstanding balance. There was discussion of what things the
registration fees pay for and how the registration process will go.

5:30PM - District Recognition
Dinner - Marc Elkins will be recognized
as an outstanding scoutmaster. We can
support him by attending. Cost is $17.

Stu Sharp Venture Troop they are going skiing in 2/02 - 5 scouts and 2 leaders - There will be an outing in 5/02 also - 6/02 is when they plan to go to Canada but that may change

- 10 have signed up for the Packard trip - We discussed concerns and possible
reasons for lack of signups for High Adventure trips.
