·        Currently no scout has contacted Mr. Cook expressing interest in SPL

 

Senior patrol leader Report – Bill Gurney

·        Next meeting – plan for Fr. Riley Campout

·        Plan Breakfast in patrols – patrols to choose menu

·        Grant Herman will do a session on Skills Activities

·        Webelos to visit on 1/24

 

 

Outdoor Activities (Camping/Grubmaster) – Scott Brown/Jim Cook/Chris Pfeffer

·        Jan 21-22, Ft. Riley

·        Feb 4-6, Campout - Skiing

·        Mar 25-27, Campout Bike Campout – agreed

Discussion about need to provide proper notice to scouts when changing venue for campout.  Some concerned change for Ft. Riley Campout was too late – some boys may have planned on Skiing this weekend and won’t be able to make Riley.  Agreed this was an unusual circumstance beyond our control.  Bill Gurney reinforced the boys’ desire to go to Fr. Riley.

o       6 upcoming crossovers should result in at least 46 new mustangs to the troop

·        Discussion regarding streamlining process for applications – Renee to try for 6 months and assess if better.

Advancement – Julia Day

·        Scout thru Life – Julia Day – No report

 

·        Eagle Candidates – Tracy Thomas

o       12 potential Eagle Candidates for the Spring Eagle Court

o       2 scouts already done – Shropshire & Cochran

 

 

Scout Leadership – Bob Rohlf

§         Doug Ball has agreed to be JLT coordinator

§         1/24 – Position Coordinator Prep

§         1/31 – Troop Elections

§         2/7 – Junior Leadership Training

 

 

Finance – John Martin

§         Treasurer’s report – Troop currently has significant receivables as a result of rechartering, and Bartle fees due 2/7

§         Troop has sufficient funds to meet its current obligations

 

 

Honor Programs

§         O/A – Rob Baker

o       Rechartering 150 individuals

o       2 costuming sessions over Christmas break

o       C-Team has been rehearsing and will be ready for cross-over ceremonies

o       5 ceremonies currently booked

§         Mic-O-Say – Jim Wasko/Greg Spies – campout concerns expressed by Greg Spies

o       Official Mic-0-Say standard

§         >50% of meetings available to all scouts

§         >50% of campouts available to all scouts

 

 

Adult Training

§         Report – Scott Bower – T10 has highest % of trained adults in district

 

 

New Business/Open Discussion – All

§         Discussion regarding need to make sure all calendars on the troop website are accurate, reflecting same information – Herb – please address

§         Concern expressed about need to get Campout fliers onto website as early as possible – Scott Brown to address

§         Jim Shetlar announced that 2 additional Eagle Core meetings were held recently – great support from T10 eagle scouts.
