· Looking for the following adult volunteers:

o Quartermaster – Chuck Gibson desires to transition out

o Adult Recognition Coordinator

o Prairie Star Elementary Unit Commissioner

o Co-Grubmaster – Chris Pfeffer needs campout cooking leader to lead Old Goat cooking during campouts

Leawood Lions – Ken Roberson/Chris Wright – No report

Health Forms Update – Elaine Navickas - needs parts A & B now for all scouts and adults

Scoutmaster/SPL Update

· Garrett Shropshire

o New Advancement Policy Implementation Update

o Intense discussion regarding testing

o Garrett stressed that with new process all scouts who progress to Eagle will have 3 opportunities to assess their knowledge and skills and review with an assistant scoutmaster

· Kevin Tenny – last meeting as ASPL

o Put together a job description for future ASPL candidates to ensure they understand the scope/requirements of role before pursuing

Outdoor Activities (Camping/Grubmaster) – Scott Brown/Chris Pfeffer

· December Campout – Feedback

o Great campsite – successful campout

· January Campout – Snow Creek

o Patrol cooking but focus on quick, warm and eat breakfast

· February Campout – Omaha Zoo

o Could be expensive if bus is included + $100

· March Campout – Katy Trail

· April Campout – Need to change date or location – Illig farm not available in April due to turkey hunting season

Bartle Update – Tracy Thomas

· 1^st adult leader meeting at Snow Creek campout

Equipment Coordinator – Chuck Gibson – no report

Membership – Renee Andrews

· Estimate 7 blue/gold crossovers – 25 to 30 new scouts

Advancement – Julia Day – no issues

Life to Eagle – Lane Christiansan

· 1 scout needs an Eagle BOR on Jan. 19^th – Lane coordinating

Scout Leadership – Bob Rohlf –

· Discussion dovetailed into Shropshire’s focusing on Skills assessment form and licenses

o Discussion and debate about how long scouts should have to complete paperwork after each leadership period

o Motion to limit all paperwork due for leadership to 60 days with a 2/1 and 8/1 start dates was voted on and approved
