Troop 10 Committee Meeting

We received a thank you for the Dunn donation.  Thanked Bob Key for his Secretary duties.  Jeff passed around the adult duty roster to encourage member to volunteer in open positions.. 

 

Scoutmaster              Scott Weaver

Scott commented on a great camping year and is looking forward to Bartle Summer Camp.  Bartle will be used to set the troop calendar.

 

Advancement            Brent Reynolds

Scout thru Life – Recommended we need to have an attendance coordinator at the campouts.  Some leadership positions are to easy and need to be eliminated or beefed up.  We have 19 recognized leadership positions.

Mike Coffee Mustangs

53 mustangs started the year, 32 going to Bartle and 9 still active but not going to Bartle.  As of today we have 41 active Mustangs.  Looking to break the boys into groups based on ranks.

 

Treasurer                  Kevin O’Farrell

26,000 in the account.  John McCabe will work with Kevin to get a financial breakdown.

                                               

Outdoor                     Tom Baker

•Canoe Campout — 200 kids and 76 adults, great success 37 mustangs attended the 1st year scout skills campout.  Camporee in October will be based on foreign countries; each troop will pick a country theme – Brazill for Troop 10

 

John McCabe Bartle Campmaster

141 scouts, 37 full time, 58 part time attending Bartle.

 

Grub Master              Rick Korvick, Denise Holt

Saturday 8am Troop locker cleanup.  All tents and campboxes should be turned in.  We are missing 18 tents.

71 will be attending Philmont.  Jeff thanked the crew leaders.

83% completion rate for Troop 10 youth protection.  Training for Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster will be offered at Bartle.

New Business:

 

*     Old Goat Patrol—David Corley will write up a report with details about the new Grubmaster.  Thanked Denise Holt and Rick Korvick

*     Summer 2007 High Adventure--Quintin Cokington  - 5adults and 11 scouts are going June 18th (2 crews).  4 nights and 5 days.

*     August 19th Troop 10 picnic
