Mustang overnight 19 scouts they did well on food preparation
Environmental Science Merit Badge pre-work was done the boys had fun, 6 older scouts came to help.
Bartle
Committee update continue to meet things are coming together part of our
Ranger program request was denied we got most of the water activities our
scouts requested -they are working on tent assignments and duty rosters 84
scouts are registered 35 full time dad slots combining full and part time dads
we have about 20 scouts less than usual at Bartle because of family July 4th
holidays daily Bartle schedules for scouts and Mic-o-say are posted on the
website

Strain reported that we lost some equipment to wind damage at the American
Cancer Society Event we will be able to replace and improve on what we had
Tribal
Feast 4 adults and 2 scouts attended beautiful ceremony Cliff Illig was
elected to presiding Chieftain
Greg Kent
expects 6-8 Eagles at the next Court of Honor probably in late October
cutoff will probably be in late August he is requesting people to grade Eagle
projects some training will be needed

is needing volunteers on 6/21/01 for an Eagle Board of Review

Towell Treasury update reviewed account balances concern about scouts who
owe money for activities they took part in but are not currently attending
meetings or activities these people will be approached and asked to pay what
they owe

OConner reported that we need new tires on our troop truck Allen Schoof
will look into this we will also get estimates to tighten up the suspension

Strain reported that people will meet next Saturday to work on the lockers,
to wash and clean all equipment and the truck we will take an inventory of
what things we need Greg Spies has already removed truck shelves a group
will go to Bartle on 6/30 to help set up tents and awnings also the rental
truck will be loaded then

we have 50 tents 15 need repair or replacement a few more will need to be
purchased some tables will need to be replaced too patrol boxes are still
with the patrols some patrols still have their propane stoves and some have
been turned in we discussed how to make scouts and patrols financially
accountable for their equipment especially tents which are very expensive

Coffey reviewed adult leadership positions that still need to be filled for
the next year

Strain discussed the concern some scouts had about dads sleeping in cars and
campers, rather than tents on campouts Mike Coffey will send a letter to dads
to encourage them to sleep in tents
Rusty
Howell feels the annual canoe trip needs to be scheduled for two nights rather
than one this next year
There was
discussion about standardizing Boards of Review Rick Isham has already been
working on this there will be discussion and training for dads on this by our
troop at Bartle
Larry
Stocker signed our troop up for a community service project in October
involving painting a house 20 scouts and 10 dads will be needed
The
meeting was ended at 8:00 p.m.
