Troop 10 Committee Meeting

June 9, 2006

                                    Jeff Muchow called the meeting to order at 5:00pm

Recognized Rick and Denise for a great job with food at the canoe campout.  Met with herb to discuss campout calendar at the canoe campout

 

Scoutmaster              Col M. Scott Weaver

Great job to Rick and Denise for food at the canoe campout.  Thanks also to John McCabe and Jim Vano for help at the campout.  Scott and Jeff met with Scott Haner to discuss the planning calendar for next year.  First meeting will be August (21st) with elections.  Would like all scouts be able to survive for 21 days in the wilderness as one of the objectives for camping next year.  Equitable distribution of cost for patrol cooking is an issue needing resolution.  We will rebuild patrol boxes and take tent inventory in July.

 

Eagle                          Clanence Krantz

                                    Zach Mallin and Kevin Orendorf completed their Eagle projects.  We have 4 volunteers for the Board of Reviews on June 15th.

 

Advancement:           Scout thru Life – Brent Reynolds

Need scout spirit card (55% or more attendance) to get a scoutmaster attendance.  Need help with BOR at Bartle

Doug Ball will be in charge or BOR at Bartle.

 

Treasurer Report     Kevin O’Farrell

 

Membership           Greg Spies

                                      Still missing adult applications and health forms for Bartle

 

Outdoor Activities    John McCabe

·        Mustang Campout—Greg Spies

Spies Farm will now be referred to as Spies Swamp.

·        Bartle 2006 – William Easley

June 13th will be the final pre meeting for Bartle at Zarta BQ.

·        Philmont 2006—Terry Ellis

Leave June 28th – Final shake downs coming up.  Two slots are open

Adult Training           Blake Williams

                                    26 parents have not completed training for Bartle.  Will follow-up on these individuals.

 

Round Table             Session on first aid and safety.

Community Service         Deb Dellinger

                                                          New opportunities for scout service projects.  Arboretum has opportunities for community service.

·        Don Campbell Kudos for doing CPR training at the Life Saving Merit Badge
