                                                                                                                                                                                                                         ii.      Working hard w/ boys through winter w/ cub packs

1.       C-team has been busy

2.       Rob proposed a service patch for the boys participating in the C team for more than one year

a.       Motion made and seconded  to discuss

b.       Discussion occurred

c.       Vote take to approve patches – cost $1.18 ea.

3.       Leawood Lions - Gary Flick/Chick Atwell

a.       Report

                                                                                                                                                                                                                           i.      Troop 10 & 11 volunteered to collect food

1.       28,500 lbs of food

2.       1029 cases of food

3.       When to numerous pantries in town

                                                                                                                                                                                                                         ii.      Tuesday night Lion’s club has their meeting with an individual who participated in the Iditarod

 

b.       Roger Eaton

                                                                                                                                                                                                                           i.      Working w/ Lions on Drug intervention program

                                                                                                                                                                                                                         ii.      There are my great local programs already in existence

                                                                                                                                                                                                                        iii.      Decided on an exhibition format for Johnson County middle schools

1.       Desire to include T10 in this effort

2.       Need someone from T10 to spearhead the effort if interested in recruiting

3.       Pilot program will be at Leawood MS but hope to eventually offer to all BV middle schools

4.       After school activity

5.       Troop is supportive but feels it needs more information in order to support appropriately

6.       Blake Williams to discuss further with Roger Eaton

 

4.       Trailhead District Meeting - Scott Bower / Ron Wood

a.       Adult Training - Ron Wood

                                                                                                                                                                                                                           i.      Can T10 help out district with adult training backlog that needs to be done.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                         ii.      Pick the date and we’ll bring the training to T10

                                                                                                                                                                                                                        iii.      Typically - 7&1/2 hour training done in 3 sessions

                                                                                                                                                                                                                        iv.      Goal would be to have T10’s training done by September

1.       Committee member training is all online

2.       ASM requires class training

1.       Agreement to pursue as long as Troop 11 can provide own transportation and bike hauling

13.   Community Service Projects - John Ahart

a.       Food Drive w/ Lions club – Chris Wright

b.       Delano – July 2nd

c.       Other – million meals for Haiti – Ahart & daughter participated

 

14.   New Business/Open Discussion – All

1.       Jeff reviewed overview to program and tweaks to program for this year.

2.       Assists parents in their transition

                                                                                                                                                                                                                        iii.      New Parent orientation will begin on 31st of March troop meeting

c.       Walt Andrews expressed some concern about patrol cooking

                                                                                                                                                                                                                         ii.      Jim Leeper & Walt Andrews volunteered to put together a proposal for a new process

                                                                                                                                                                                                                        iii.      Matt Boresow asked for adult support during upcoming campouts
