Recruiting update

To date have 41 Mustangs on the Troop 10 Roster

39 of the Mustangs are officially registered

Needing applications for the following Mustang Scouts:

Colby Blasen

Andrew Gomen

Alex Moffet

Our recruiting base has started to expand by including some more southerly schools:

Blue River

Lakewood

Our largest feeder school continues to be Mission Trail, followed by OTE, Prairie Star and Blue River

We received one scout from Harmony, Leawood and Lakewood look for these numbers to increase.

Our biggest competition is Troop 92 from COR & Troop 459 from Colonial Presbyterian which moved to a new location at Antioch and 135th St

Harmony has largely shifted from Troop 10 to Troop 459, with the exception of 2 scouts.

Thanks to Rob Baker and the OA - C Team for all of the performances at numerous Blue and Golds

Thanks to Garrett Shropshire for attending the Leawood B&G at a moment's notice.

New Parent Orientation – Jeff Muchow

Assigning 2nd year parents to new Mustang parents to onboard them into the troop.

Advancement – Julia Day

Almost all of last year’s Mustangs have advanced to 1st class

All new Mustangs have been signed off on “scout” rank

Scouts need to advocate for themselves – not parents

Eagle Candidates – Tracy Thomas

5 life scouts have passed their Eagle BOR

Riley, Boone, Shropshire, Parkins, Cochran

3 scouts passed their 2nd trip through district Roundtable

Rutledge, Helmsteter, Ramsey

Scout Leadership – Bob Rohlf – Leadership cards are being submitted

Finance – Treasurer’s Report – John Martin

Cash has diminished from the last report due to some significant expenditures, but still remains solid.  Blue Valley Bank balance is approximately $12,100 and the PayPal account is $24,900.

Accounts receivable remains relatively high at $25,000.  While we had several of the large balances paid down, we do have a particular account of an active scout that is now over $1,700.  I plan to contact the parent.

Kudos to the Campmaster

Good management on the December campout which was at a small profit.

Ditto with Fort Riley, though we may still have some lagging expenses.

Ditto with Ski Campout.

Might suggest a late payment penalty for High Adventure in the future.  We currently bill High Adventure through the Troop.  This year, we have had too many lag on their payments.  Right now, we are still floating 11 folks for Philmont despite Quintin's efforts to get them to pay.

Campership request update – to date – one parent has requested financial assistance for summer camp
