Troop 10 Committee Meeting

Chair
Called the meeting to order at 6:00pm and circled the room
for introductions. Recognized and thanked
to Dave Contag Herb Strain, Greg Spies, Rick Korvick, Denise Holt and Tom Baker
for the organization of the O/A Campout.
Jeff thanked all the leaders that attended the O/A induction. Recognized the passing of Mr. Dunn and was
glad to see Tad and Andy at the O/A induction.
Troop 10 will contribute $75 to the Dunn memorial fund. Mike Flanigan and his family will be joining
Troop 10 thanks to Chris Ottinger. Jeff
discussed the succession of scoutmaster and other positions including his chair
position. Jeff recognized Tracy Thomas excellent
job organizing the Eagle court. Action

New Parent Orientation Meeting: May 7th
Scoutmaster Scott Weaver
Blue team
/ Chris Ottinger, is in charge of Monday’s meeting and white team has the
program for the following week. Eagle’s
will run this meeting. This meeting will
run 1.5 hours as the Mustang’s will be put into patrols. Scott Weaver indicated he will be
relinquishing his role as Scoutmaster after November 2007. He would like to devote time to further
development of the Venture crew.

Tracy Thomas
Eagle Court of Honor Summary. Event was well-attended and thanks for help
in organizing the setup and arrangements.
Mike Coffee Mustangs
53 mustangs started the year, 32 going to Bartle
and 9 still active but not going to Bartle.
As of today we have 41 active Mustangs.
Plan to assign the Mustangs into groups based on ranks to facilitate the
next phase in merit badge instruction.
Treasurer Kevin O’Farrell
Kevin is preparing
a summary of the Troop finances and will be presented at the June meeting.
Outdoor Tom Baker
OA Campout Summary: Over 200 scouts and adults
attended. Trash was a problem and it was
wet on Friday night. Fishing derby will
be awarded on Monday night.
Canoe Campout — May 18-20. The flier is posted.
We will enter the water in two locations based on skills.
John McCabe Bartle Campmaster
Scout and adult signup summary - 39 full time
and a total of 94 leaders attending.
6:30pm on Wednesday Bartle adult leader planning
meeting.
Adult Orientation Meeting—May 23 at Stu Sharp’s farm.

Truck was serviced. Needed batteries but it is now ready for the
Canoe campout. Tents not returned will
be billed to the patrols.
Philmont Update Jeff Muchow
We have 62 slots filled and 10 open
positions. The remaining 12 slots have
been taken by a troop moving from August to June time schedule.
Merit Badge Forum John Martin

Membership Greg Spies
Greg was
concerned because he had not seen a report indication who we billed and who we
did not bill as registered new scouts.
Kevin O’Farrell will be billing accounts at the end of May.
Honor Camping Greg Spies / – Mic-O-Say
Dave Contag – O/A 41 scouts
and 7 adults tapped out. Thanked Glen
Alexander, Herb Strain and Greg Spies for contributing to the tapout
arrangements. Twenty eight dads and
scouts received brotherhood. Troop will
purchase ordeal coops. Garbage was a
problem. Thanked Jim Shetler for getting
the pizza’s. A few more scouts need to
go through OA again because of sickness.

focused on the planning process and the District planning fair. 5 nights in August and
September. Rob is the Chair of school night for
scouting. Need troop 10 speakers to
present to the cub scouts. 8/ 23, 8/28,
8/30, 9/6 and 9/11

Summer 2007 High Adventure--Quintin Cokington
- 7adults and 12 scouts are going June 18-24 comprising two crews. Eight slots are still available.
