Members Present

Larry Stocker: Camporee: Had meeting today to discuss
arrangements. More help is needed by
parents to volunteer for specific jobs before and during the weekend. Is having a Camporee shirt designed /
made. This would use the new district
logo. This was approved by the Council. The Scout Shop is willing to buy left over
shirts.
Rusty Howell: Space
Campout: Camping is decided – outside of
Hutchison. Two merit badges will be
offered. November 9th and
November 10th are the dates.
We will leave on Saturday night so that we will be back on Sunday for
Eagle Court of Honor.
December campout:
Historic Trails – Most likely will be in Pittsburgh, Kansas.
January campout:
Will be Klondike campout.
February and March are currently open to be decided.
Bartle Registration 2002: $50 needs to be paid this
week for each scout and dad who plans to
attend camp as a registration fee.
Philmont – October 27th is the day for
calling to get a spot of 2003.
Volunteers will be needed
for calling in.
Stu Sharp: Packard and Boundary Waters trips
are on hold until October 17th when
Bartle draw happens.
Bill Drees: Packard style trip – one week. Trip to Colorado - rafting and backpacking
will be the main parts of the trip.
Gary Bernhardt: May
lead a trip to Honduras in March, 2003.
Greg Kent: Needs eleven people to help with
boards of review on October 18th.
Wants us to set a time for next group of Eagles to
have boards completed prior to the court of honor.
Greg Spies: We are missing two tents..
Still
working on getting new tables through a source of Larry Stocker.
Will
need $400 for new equipment. This was
approved by the committee
Mike Coffey: Discussed future chartering
organization issues. Stu will discuss
this with Leawood Rotary Club who offered to work with us.
Bill Brady: Gave treasurers report.
Greenery sales – It was decided to give an incentive
to the scouts with top sales.
Troop
Shirts - There was a discussion
about having new shirts and other apparel items
with
our logo on it. A committee to make
decisions was put together.
Herb
Strain: Has Troopmaster Millennium. It is posted on the website to be
downloaded. It
has more flexibility than
previous programs.
The
meeting was ended at 8:00 p.m.
