Blake Williams called the meeting to order at 6:00pm

   

1.                  Welcome and introductions

 

Scoutmaster Update – Greg Spies

1.    Report

a.      Campout last weekend – hosted by Venture Crew

b.      No injuries or accidents

c.      Many left before the Troop truck

d.      Camporee next weekend – looking for Pizza dough & sauce

e.      Assisting with rocketry

f.        Popcorn Friday night for the district + Movie – we need a “G” movie + projector + Gel Batteries

g.      3385 – needs summer camp program taught

2.                  Senior Patrol Leader – Briton Heck

a.      Need someone to coordinate an open house for the troop some Friday night prior to Halloween – Target 24th of October

b.      Need troop’s gel batteries for Camporees

c.      Need Troop Telescope available for camporee

d.      PLC - Liberty Bell, Ravens volunteered for catapult

e.      Light stove competition will be included with camporee

 

Outdoor Activities – Tom Baker/Briton Heck

1.                  October 10-12, Camporee

a.      Registration – How?

b.      40 scouts + 20 adults currently registered

2.                  Recruiting update – Donna Wilson

3.                  Leawood 60th Anniversary Parade, Nov 8, 10 am

a.      35 units enlisted for parade

b.      Need help on day of event

c.      T10 will have an entry

d.      11/7 final reception @ Ironwood Park - $25.00 per person @6:30 to 10PM

4.                  November 15-16 Campout

a.      Camp Ernst

b.      Potential conservation project

c.      Fires only in pit by pool

d.      No climbing on tower/hay

5.                  December – sports & Camando

6.                  January – Fire & Ice + Cosmosphere for younger scouts

7.                  Feb – Skiing

8.                  March – open

9.                  April – OA

10.             May - Canoe

11.             High Adventure – Quintin Cokingtin

a.      No new report on Philmont

f.        Currently have 12 boys working on projects for next spring + 10 more life scouts eligible . . .

a.      Troop will not need bailout

h.      Bartle deposits coming in slow

Honor Programs

a.      O/A scouts volunteers needed to help with parking

Trailhead District Round Table Information – updates on various training programs and award programs

1.                  Jim Leeper did a great job on Highway cleanup

b.      Steve motioned to dispose of old stoves to a needy troop
