September – October 2014
The Heart of America Patriot Foundation is kindly requesting that 10-12 Scouts volunteer on Thursday, September 25 from 4:15 pm – 6:30 pm as part of the Heartland Honor Flight. Scouts will greet and escort WWII veterans to their seats for a Pre-flight Orientation and present the colors.
The location is the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center located just off the Plaza at 4801 Rockhill Road.
Scouts must be in Class A uniform – no exceptions.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Tina Seeley and provide scout’s name, best contact number and parent/adult name. firstname.lastname@example.org
We will meet at the Department of Transportation Building on the corner of Highway 69 and 167th.
This counts for “Service Hours” and Second/First Class Rank “Activity”. Please bring with you or email a Parental Consent Form signed by both the scout and a parent. These are available on the Troop 10 website. They are good for 2 years.
Please wear long pants and bring work gloves.
Parent help for supervision is appreciated. Donuts and drinks provided.
This is the Second of two sessions. The first session of Scouting Heritage Merit Badge was held on May 12th, 2014. Make sure you have complete the work to be done between sessions.
As with all merit badges offered by the Troop before Troop meetings, this class is limited to Scouts who have achieved First Class rank and above. This is to encourage Scouts to focus on working toward First Class rank.
The class date has been moved from September 22 to October 13 due to schedule conflicts.
