Observatory), north of Louisburg, Kansas (same place as last year). Directions

20, 2002. Please arrive as early Friday
afternoon as possible.

Trips to the Haunted Forest (~$4.50) or the
Powell Observatory (~$2.00) are available on Friday night. Fees for these events will be collected at
the event.
You must register by October 7th. Please do this at Troop Meetings, by Phone

You
will need weather appropriate clothing, extra dry clothing to change into at
night (socks, sweats, t-shirts, stocking hats, etc.), weather appropriate
sleeping bag, ground mat, eating mess kit, and rain gear. Patrols need to work together to make sure
that patrol tents and cooking boxes (cleaned and properly stocked) are brought
to camp by assigned patrol members.
Call your patrol leader, if he doesn’t call you by Thursday, October
16th.
The Uniform is Class “A” for Saturday &
Sunday.
Cooking
will be by patrols. Hot meals must be
prepared on Saturday morning, Saturday night and Sunday morning.
For
lunch on Saturday, there will be a Camporee-wide cooking competition – awards
will be presented.
Adults
& Visiting Webelos will cook and eat as with the “Old Goat” patrol for all
meals. (Including lunch)
The coordinating Patrol is the Raptor Patrol. The
Troop Truck will be loaded on Thursday, October 17th at 6:00pm, and
unloaded Sunday, October 20th.
ALL Quartermasters and ALL Raptor Patrol Members need to help load &
unload the Truck. A Raptor Patrol Dad
will need to drive the Truck.

Troop 10 will construct and man a Monkey Bridge Saturday Morning. We will also have homemade Donuts for the Webelos that visit.
The Camporee is holding a Cooking Competition for Saturday Lunch.
Patrols will take place in multiple Skills Competitions.
These optional events are available Friday & Saturday nights.
A wonderful campfire will be held on Saturday
night. All scouts and leaders are expected to attend the campfire &
program. It will be followed by a cracker barrel for everyone.
The Camporee SPL Council will assist the
campfire leader in the planning of the campfire. Each troop is expected to
bring one song and/or original skit to the SPL Council meeting on Friday
evening.
