Saturday Departure: Meet at Price Chopper, 133rd and Mission; Saturday morning at @ 8:00am. We will depart Price Chopper promptly at 8:30am. Webelos should arrive directly at camp at 1:00pm
Sunday Return: We will return home after we break camp Sunday, around 9:00am.
If you plan to arrive late, leave during the campout, or leave early Sunday, you MUST contact our Scoutmaster, Rob Day, no later than Thursday, November 6th or you may not get credit for the campout; email@example.com.
- TROOP 10 SCOUTS: $20 (plus patrol costs) billed to your troop account +$20 for Naish Mini-Camp Activities (Mini-Camp Fees & Ammunition)
- ADULTS : $25 (billed to your troop account)
- Naish Cabins: $7.50 – Aduts Only
- VISITING WEBELOS & WEBELOS PARENTS/LEADERS: No charge for camping/food/activities
Activity dress (Class B) is fine for all activities. An example of Class B dress would be a Bartle or T10 campout t-shirt and jeans.

- 11:45am – 11:00am Boy Scouts travel to first assigned Mini-Camp activity with their sack lunch
- 11:00am – 5:00pm Mini-Camp activities (no merit badge requirements)

- 1:3pm BB-Gun Range & Outdoorsman Pin Activities (Webelos Scouts)

MINI-CAMP ACTIVITIES DESCRIPTION:
TROOP 10 SCOUTS
- Shooting Sports – Rifle – shoot approximately 25 rounds of .22LR, and/or
- Shooting Sports – Shotgun – shoot approximately 25 shotgun shells, and/or
- Climbing / Rappelling – featuring rappelling tower and climbing wall.
- Project C.O.P.E. Course* – Project C.O.P.E. is an acronym for Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience, a program in the Boy Scouts of America. It consists of group initiative games, trust events, low-course events, and high-course events. Some activities involve a group challenge, while others develop individual skills and agility. Participants climb, swing, balance, jump, rappel, zip line, and devise solutions to a variety of problems.
- Shooting Sports – BB-Gun – shooting Safety and shooting approximately 25 BBs
- Outdoorsman Pin – Instruction & Activities to earn your Outdoorsman Pin (see last page for Pin requirements)
*If a boy chooses to participate in the Project C.O.P.E. course, it is a very long activity and will therefore be the only event he can take.
- Saturday breakfast – Eat prior to departure.
- Saturday lunch – Everyone bring a sack lunch. OPTIONAL: Patrols can cook a meal if they plan ahead.
- Webelos: Eat lunch prior to arrival.
- Saturday FEAST:
- All ingredients for desserts will be purchased & supplied by the patrols.
- Every patrol will be responsible for cooking a dessert for the Feast, enough to feed their patrol.
- Adults will prepare the Main Courses
- Sunday Breakfast – Patrols will prepare a hot breakfast – Adults, Webelos & Guests eat with the “Old Goats Patrol”.
You will need cold weather clothing, extra dry clothing to change into at night (socks, sweats, t-shirts, stocking hats, etc.), cold weather sleeping bag, ground mat, eating mess kit, and rain gear. Patrols need to work together to make sure that patrol tents and cooking boxes (cleaned and properly stocked) are brought to camp by assigned patrol members. . If you have Patrol Equipment (tents, tarps, stoves, cooking equipment), make sure it makes it to this campout even if you aren’t attending. Call your patrol leader, if he doesn’t call you by Wednesday, November 5th. Patrol Quartermasters must speak to the Troop Quartermaster, Mike Dyess; firstname.lastname@example.org; if ANY additional equipment is needed (i.e. cooking grates, bricks, tent poles, tent pegs, tarps, tents). Paper goods & cups will not be provided.
Adults and Webelos must bring their own tents and mess kits.
Troop Policy: NO Liquid Fuel of any type. Charcoal chimneys are provided by the Troop
CHARCOAL IS NOT PROVIDED TO SCOUT PATROLS

The coordinating patrol is the Raptor Patrol. One of the parents of a Raptor Patrol Scout will need to drive the troop truck to and from the campout. All members of the Raptor Patrol – Blue Color Team and ALL quartermasters are responsible for loading the truck on Thursday, November 6th at 6:00pm and unloading the troop truck on Sunday morning. The truck is at the storage lot at 133rd and Holmes Rd.

Take I-435 North to the K-32 Exit. Go West on K-32 thru Edwardsville. Turn right (North) on 121st street just before the Lone Star Industries Cement Plant. There is a small “Boy Scout Camp” sign at the intersection. If you go under K-7, you have gone too far. Take 121st street (which turns into Martinek Lane just after Metropolitan Ave) to the SECOND NAISH ENTRANCE: “CUB WORLD” on your right. Turn in and take an immediate right turn on the gravel road just inside the gate. Go ¼ mile to the first shelter on the right. Parking is available on the circle drive next to the shelter. If there are no parking places left, go back to the parking lot next to the Cub World Entrance and park there. Naish is approx. 25 miles from PSMS.
Webelos – OUTDOORSMAN Pin
Required for Arrow of Light
Do Two of these:
- Present yourself to your Webelos den leader, properly dressed, as you would be for an overnight campout. Show the camping gear you will use. Show the right way to pack and carry it.
- With your family or Webelos den, help plan and take part in an evening outdoor activity that includes a campfire.
- With your parent or guardian, take part in a Webelos den overnight campout or a family campout. Sleep in a tent that you have helped pitch.
- With your parent or guardian, camp overnight with a Boy Scout troop. Sleep in a tent that you have helped pitch.
And Do Five of these:
- During a Webelos den meeting, discuss how to follow the Leave No Trace Frontcountry Guidelines during outdoor activities.
- Participate in an outdoor conservation project with your Webelos den or a Boy Scout troop.
- Discuss with your Webelos den leader the rules of outdoor fire safety. Using these rules, show how to build a safe fire and put it out.
- With your accompanying adult on a campout or outdoor activity, assist in preparing, cooking, and cleanup for one of your den’s meals. Tell why it is important for each den member to share in meal preparation and cleanup, and explain the importance of eating together.
- Discuss with your Webelos den leader the things that you need to take on a hike. Go on one 3-mile hike with your Webelos den or a Boy Scout troop.
- Demonstrate how to whip and fuse the ends of a rope.
- Demonstrate setting up a tent or dining fly using two half hitches and a taut-line hitch. Show how to tie a square knot and explain how it is used.
- Visit a nearby Boy Scout camp with your Webelos den.
